The EUROTEK.2010 organising team
are proud to announce that a date has been set for this years
event from the 16th & 17th of October. We are pleased to
confirm we will be holding the event at the same venue, the
ICC in Birmingham England. see
venue. Popular speakers from the 2008 show as well
as new speakers are confirmed and the industry's technical diving
manufactures are currently talking to us about remaining exhibition
space. With the sad loss of one of EUROTEK's co-founders Carl
Spencer (see below) the future
of the show at one stage was doubtful but that has all now changed
and the future of the this bi annual event looks

| more promising than ever before. Leigh Bishop
and Roz Lunn remain on board as a key figures of the team and
we have news that Mark Dixon & Cripsin Brake have been brought
on board to take on key rolls as well. With that said we are
excited to announce EUROTEK.2010 and take the conference onto
the next level. The CCR panel will be back as will those exhibitors
that are ready to display their latest advanced diving products.
We will also guarantee you will get to hear and see the best
speakers in advanced diving. Over the coming months we will
continue to announce all signed exhibitors and speakers for
the 'Twenty Ten' event as they they come on board and, of course,
ensure you are updated with everything that we have lined up
for the big event. |

Catch

The 2010 show is really starting to
shape up with most rebreather company's exhibiting at Eurotek.2010
as well as all the main manufacturers of technical and advanced diving
equipment. We also have some new exhibitors that are related to advanced
diving and lots more exhibitors to announce as soon as we have contacts

Seminars for 2010
The Eurotek team have been hard at work
sourcing the very best in speakers and technical seminars for you
to see at the 2010 conference. To date all our invited speakers have
agreed to present and some have already sent us a rundown of what
they will be talking about at Eurotek.2010. One thing you can be certain
of is that all seminars and presentations will be original and specifically
rebuilt to suit the most advanced & technical divers who will
visit the conference. At the same time key presenters will cover topics
for those just getting started in closed circuit diving.

Tickets
Tickets are not
on sale yet but don't worry. There is a long way to go
before the doors open at the ICC in October and we have a lot of organisation
ahead of us before those doors do finally open. We will announce ticket
sales on this site and across the most popular forums on the internet
as soon as we have finalized all the details. After the huge success
of EUROTEK.2008, be sure to get your tickets, not forgetting your
Gala Dinner awards tickets as soon as they go on sale to avoid disappointment.

X-Scooter
One lucky Eurotek visitor will be able to get their
hands on a neat X-Scooter by buying a ticket in the charity
raffle courtesy of DeepIdeas Ltd. Deep Ideas will be on hand
to exhibit a range of X-Scooters at the event and have also
teamed up with event organisers to raffle off a Cuda 650 package

Tom Mount Announced
as Speaker
Tom Mount will be at EUROTEK.2010 and is set to present on
topics such as the Evolution of Technical diving and survival
Dynamics. Tom is perhaps one of the most experienced advanced
divers we will ever have at EUROTEK and what an opportunity
for new CCR divers to meet the man who practically invented
Technical diving. Tom will fly in from Florida, USA and will
be representing the training agency IANTD More

Bruce Wienke
Announced as Speaker
Bruce Wienke is a Program Manager in the Nuclear Weapons Technology/
Simulation And Computing Office at the Los Alamos National
Laboratory (LANL), with interests in computational decompression
and models, gas transport, and phase mechanics. He contributes
to underwater sym-posia, educational publications, technical
periodicals and decompression workshops, having authored eight
monographs. More

EUROTEK's co-founder Carl
Spencer
EUROTEK.2008 was our first conference
and those that attended will know what a great success it was.
It couldn't have been done without its co-founder Deep wreck
diver Carl Spencer. Sadly on the
24th May 2009 Carl lost his life during a deep 120m dive whilst
filming the Britannic for a special National Geographic television
show. With this tragic accident in mind an element of doubt
was floating as to whether or not the show would ever run again.
However, Carl's best friend and EUROTEK co- founder, Leigh Bishop
was approached by so many people, who all agreed that the show
should go on in Carl's memory. |

The famous EUROTEK Gala dinner that was much talk of 2008 will run
again and tickets will be in high demand. Along with 'the usual' evenings
entertainment there will also be a tribute to Carl Spencer by the
evening's MC and best friend, Leigh Bishop. The organising team are
planning on showing a short tribute film to Carl outlining some of
his expedition achievements along with interviews from famous divers.
This will be screened at the evening Gala Dinner.

Submerge Productions have teamed up with Eurotek and launched
the Eurotek TV channel. All the interviews from 2008 are on
line and can be viewed in FULL screen HD with the silverlight
player. Lots more filming is planned for the 2010 event so keep

Ocean comes on board
We are excited to announce that Cathx Ocean, the Irish
manufacturer of those awesome new torches for technical divers
will be exhibiting at Eurotek.When your at Eurotek ask the
guys to give the heads of the umbilical's a good wack on the
bench and watch them light up afterwards. No more broken bulbs

Stanton becomes EuroTek.08 diver of the conference and is awarded
the Doxa watch
The EUROTEK.2008
diver of the conference award was delivered
to European Cave diver Rick Stanton. Rick received his cut class
award as well as a Doxa Sub 1000T professional watch worth almost
$2500. More

Statement from Rick Stanton
Many thanks to Leigh, Carl & Roz for organising such a great
conference. A chance to meet with plenty of old farts from the
original IANTD events staged in Coventry plus loads of new faces
which is an encouraging sign for tech diving. Knowing of Leigh
Bishop’s long running desire to set up a Tek conference
here in Europe & also having been to Oztek which was to
be the benchmark for Eurotek I can attest that the team, at
their first attempt, pulled it off to a fine degree so praises
due. On a more personal note I have to say that I was totally
blown away & genuinely surprised (speechless even) at wining
the diver of the conference. Especially so considering that
cave divers were in a minority of those present. The Doxa
watch is something I will be proud to wear &
associate with this award so many thanks to all those who nominated
me.

EuroTek and had officially sponsored the award for 'Diver

Over
£2000 raised for Charity at EUROTEK.2008
Many of our exhibitors had kindly donated equipment
totally well over £10,000 which was won at the Tek Divers
Gala Evening draw. The draw on the evening of the event raised
over £2000 for Scuba Trust a Charity which helps disabled
divers to dive. All delegates attending the Gala Dinner entered
the draw and we saw the lucky winners as the event unfolded.More

Delegate wins Ambient Pressure Rebreather
Those 2008 conference pass automatically entered you into
the draw to win an Ambient Pressure Diving Rebreather. The
lucky delegate who won this great prize was actually an open
circuit diver with an interest in getting into rebreather
diving. He told the EUROTEK team that he has never won anything
in his life quite like this and is somewhat taken back but
none the less very happy indeed.

Tek
Divers Gala Dinner
On the Saturday night of the show weekend the organisers
of EUROTEK.2008had organised a special Tek Divers Gala Dinner
& awards evening which was well over subscribed with many
being turned away. All our speakers and exhibitors were at
this special 'Banquet' as were many leading faces from the
Technical diving community. The EuroTek team had booked the
'Banquet' hall at the ICC where the conference was held and
had a blinding evening in true European style!
