Connor Roe is a cave explorer seeking to map new cave passages though caving and cave diving. His activities have taken him across Europe, Florida and most recently to the Huautla Region in Mexico.
With exploration so varied he adapts his equipment and set up for each dive. Whether it is zero visibility sumps in Somerset, England or decompression diving, days into a cave the need to be flexible and innovative remains at the forefront.
Over the last seven years, he has kept busy on a series of expeditions whilst developing a lightweight chest mounted rebreather for remote cave exploration. More recently as a lead diver on expeditions to Mexico, operating in systems that take days to reach the final diving sump.
When not preparing for expeditions he is found in the muddy sumps of Somerset and Wales, searching out new cave passages.
In June of 2018, he was one of the British cave divers who played a leading role in the 2018 Tham Luang Thailand cave rescue.
